Little Houses Table Runner....#3 from May Your Bobbin Always Be Full

I was able to create 2 table runners from the

Frisky by Zen Chick

charm squares...

This is the second runner:

These runners go together so quickly,

thanks to raw edge fusible applique'

My favorite part of creating this is

the free motion machine quilting.....FUN !

each house is quilted differently

and has its' own personality...

Here are both of the Frisky table runners:

They are in need of bindings...

I found this orange in my fabric cupboard...

The bindings are done...

Three Little House Table Runners

are complete and...

yes, I have already started the 4th runner.

To Do Tuesday #26 - Ruthless Quilting from The Quilt Yarn

My tasks for last week were:

- start my pattern write up for next month's Etsy listing❗(thought a lot about it, but have not started yet)
- write another two blog posts as indicated above✅
- continue on knitting my second sock which will be an evening TV task
- continue to sew together my strips to make some room around the sewing machine (until they are all gone)
- prepare some fabric for another Wholecloth table runner in preparation for an upcoming workshop

So while I have done most of the things, my week has mainly evolved around scraps. As mentioned last ...

Moda Love Quilts... from May Your Bobbin Always Be Full

I've been piecing Moda Love Quilts

This is the first Moda Love quilt top

I pieced with 5 inch charm squares...

I had another charm pack in the stash,

so I pieced another one...

I was not happy with this lay out...

I thought the inner star points should be red...

So, I ripped out the center of the quilt and

pieced red star points...

Much better with red star points

and the final red border treatment...

I found a mini 2.5 inch charm pack

in the stash...

You can see from the piece of paper,

that this ...

stash report: September 11, 2022 from Making A Lather

We have more rain, expecting to last all day. I am sure the garden is very happy. I went to a rug hooking event yesterday, and, was inspired with the colors, and textures, and rugs.

I bought dye in case I need more for the background of my village rug.

Since, I had a project this year that needed civil war reproduction fabrics, I realize I have a lot of holes in my colors, and, that, I truly like the look of them. I hope I will use more in my quilting future. I added a tan piece this week ...

stash report: September 4, 2022 from Making A Lather

I have been cutting a bag of scraps in an effort to not buy any new fabric. The idea is that if I see how much I have of just the little stuff, then, I will see I don't need any new fabric to be happy. I can't say it has worked.

1 1/2 inch strips

It seems I have used a lot of 1 1/2 inch strips lately. And, it is my least favorite home cut. So, I bought a few honey buns at a really good sale price. Sashings will be simpler with these ...

Mini Cakes Mint Quilt from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

Back in June of this year, I shared a photo of some precuts I received to start a new quilt.  I joined up with the Fat Quarter Shop again to sew up one of their free shortcut patterns.
I am finally able to share my finished quilt!

I used the Bee Grateful collection by Deb Strain (for Moda Fabrics).  I thought some pretty photos in my garden was perfect for this bee inspired collection.

This was a photo shot in front of my succulent garden taken back in July.  Right now the tall sedums are in bloom and the honey ...

Pinwheel Polka Quilt Top from Lovin' Life At The End Of The Dirt Road

I know, I am posting a lot of quilt finishes lately. I didn't finish anything the first half of the year and now they are all coming together at once, but most of them have been on the assembly line for a few years. I have 2 more here that need binding and I'm picking one up from Jackie on Monday - that one needs to be finished first. Sometimes I feel like I'm spinning my wheels and not finishing

Coin Flip Quilt Finish from Dizzy Quilts

Back in July, I participated in a book hop for Cheryl Brickey's new book Just One Charm Pack Quilts. You can read all about that quilt finish here. But there were a number of other quilts I wanted to make from the book, and the first one of those was Coin Flip.

I loved making this quilt! I used an older charm pack from 3 Sisters (Papillon) along with a solid teal fabric and Kona Dove as the background.

The backing is fabric I had leftover from a recent quilt finish.

I quilted it with free-motion flowers in light ...
